EnerSys and Altergy Combine Forces to Offer Extended Runtime Power Solutions
READING, PA and FOLSOM, CA, March 18, 2008 -- EnerSys (NYSE: ENS), the world's largest
manufacturer, marketer, and distributor of industrial batteries, and Altergy Systems, a leader in the
development and manufacture of PEM fuel cell systems, today announced that the two companies
have entered into a global distribution and marketing alliance.
As a result of the alliance between these two industry leaders, EnerSys will incorporate Altergy
Freedom Power™ fuel cell systems into its family of power products to create “extended runtime”
power solutions for a variety of applications worldwide. Customers will now be able to purchase, from
EnerSys, a broader range of power solutions that will be able to offer an alternative to diesel
generators. These solutions, will add to EnerSys' portfolio of clean, quiet, environmentally friendly
